Although it is recognised that there are others who are providing health and safety training, it is clear that Council still has a role in organising health and safety training which otherwise would not be provided. For example, small businesses who would find it difficult to support the costs of running a training course for a limited number of employees, are able to benefit by participating in a course together with others.

Council endeavours, wherever possible, to provide courses that carry formal national recognition/accreditation. Where there is no officially accredited course available then Council continues to source courses by recommendation and by past experience using individual trainers or companies.

The courses run at present are already established as popular and worthwhile but the Council is always interested and willing to look at other areas, so if what you require isn’t on our list, please contact us.
