IOSH Display Screen Assessors Course

The Purpose
This 2 day course is designed to give Display Screen Assessors the competence to conduct computer workstation assessments in line with the Jersey Display Screen Equipment at Work Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) to satisfy employers’ duties under local legislation. 

Course content
Understanding the requirements for complying with the Jersey ACOP and UK legislation        
Understanding the risks involved in using display screen equipment (DSE) and managing them.
Conducting DSE assessments and action planning

Who should attend?
Anyone responsible for assessing computer workstations on behalf of an employer

Course Dates
2nd and 3rd of February 2010
11th and 12th May 2010
16th and 17th September 2010

Course fee
£225 per candidate, includes course material, sandwich lunch, exam, and, if successful, certificate from IOSH


IOSH  Managing Safely Course

The Purpose
This 4 day course is intended for managers and supervisors in any organisation and is designed to get managers up to speed on the practical actions they need to take to manage health and safety in their teams.

Supervisors and Managers who are required to manage efficiently and effectively in compliance with both the organisation’s safety policy, the safety and health legislation and senior safety and employee representatives from any organisation.

Course content
The course content is based on what managers and supervisors need to know in practice and covers health and safety legal requirement, safety and environmental and management systems, hazard identification, risk assessment and control, performance measurement and accident investigation.

Who should attend?
For those managers and supervisors with health and safety responsibility.

4th, 5th, 8th & 9th March 2010
17th, 18th, 21st& 22nd June 2010
7th, 8th, 11th & 12th October 2010

Course fee
£490 per candidate, includes course material, sandwich lunch, exam, and, if successful, certificate from IOSH
