SAFETY TRAINING NEEDS ANALYSIS
Legislation - Health & Safety At Work (Jersey) Law, 1989
The employer has a legal duty to instruct and train their workforce to provide work safety. This course is designed to give the responsible person the skill base to be able to identify safety training needs within their organisation.
Who should attend ?
Anyone responsible for identifying safety training needs within their company.
Course content
Legislation, reviewing needs, conducting a job safety analysis, skills matrix and training plan.

Legislation
UK – The Safety Reps and Safety Ctte Regulations 1977 were made under section 15 of the H&S at Work Act. Amended to The Health & Safety (Consultation with Employees) Regs 1996.
The course provides training in investigation and causes of accidents, risk assessments, effective hazard spotting activities and the setting up of a Safety Committee within the workplace.
Who should attend
Anyone who is on a Safety Committee, or tasked with looking after health and safety within their work area (office, warehouse, shop floor etc)
