UK: Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992
Consistently the highest reported accident at work each year is back injury, although hands, arms and feet are also at risk with poor lifting.
Training provides knowledge of the spinal anatomy, potential injuries, risk assessment, correct technique and avoidance through use of alternative methods.

A ’Train the Trainer’ three day course is available through the Jersey Safety Council. A UK tutor will provide delegates the skills required to take their own courses in-house. More information on this can be found in the section JSC training.
