DISPLAY SCREEN EQUIPMENT
Legislation: The Code of Practice ’Display Screen Equipment at Work’ was approved by the Employment & Social Security Committee under Article 10 of the Health and Safety at Work (Jersey) Law, 1989 and came into force on 4 January 1999.
Who should attend?
Any individual that uses display screen equipment as part of the job must be, by law, provided with the correct equipment and training to comply by the employers.
Ways to ensure provision is set in place to comply with this law can be:
Someone within the company can be trained to assessor level and be given responsibility for equipment and personnel checks.
A consultant can be brought in to assess personnel.
A training company could provide in house training to all users.

DUMPER TRUCK TIPPING
Legilsation: Health & Safety at Work (Jersey) Law 1989
Construction Safety Provisions (Jersey) Regs 1970
Designed to cover the safe operation of dumper trucks as required by Law.
The course should include construction regulations, employer/employee responsibility, machine construction, maintenance, refuelling and the operation of the truck.
This course carries a 5 year certificate.
Who should attend?
Anyone required to operate such a machine as part of their work or has responsibility of a dumper truck.
